Sanitary Sewer Overflow Reported on August 8, 2019 at 326 Choctaw Street

Water Pollution Control (WPC) helped a local plumber locate a sanitary service line at 326 Choctaw Street. WPC dye-tested this line on August 5 and could not find where it entered the City sewer system. On August 8, WPC found that the service line for 326 Choctaw Street was not connected to the sanitary sewer line, but to the storm drain.

Water Pollution Control has placed contaminated creek signs and would ask that residents stay out the water at Three-Mile Creek from 4th Street going east to the Missouri River until 326 Choctaw Street is connected to the City sewer system. The contaminated creek sign will be removed when sanitary sewer is no longer running into the storm drain and to Three-Mile Creek.
