The Streets Department maintains and repairs City streets. Other responsibilities include conducting street sweeping operations, small construction projects and snow removal.  Contact 913-682-0650.
 
 
Street Lights
 
The Streets Department also coordinates the repair of street lights that are out or in need of repair. The City crews, Evergy, and other entities coordinate the efforts to keep street lights repaired and properly maintained.
 
Do you have a street light outage to report? Most of the lights in the City are owned and maintained by Evergy; however, a few are owned by the City.
 
City-Owned Street Lights:

1.  20th Street between Spruce and Eisenhower
2.  4th Street between Seneca and Metropolitan
3.  Lights on Traffic Signal Poles
4.  Traffic Signals (red/yellow/green)

To report outages to City-owned lights, please call 913-682-0650 during working hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) or send an email to the Streets Department.

Evergy Street Lights:

All other street lights in Leavenworth are owned by Evergy. To report outages, please call 1-800-383-1183 or report the problem on Evergy's website.

If you are not sure who owns the light, please notify the City of the outage and the request will be reported to the appropriate entity.
