Sanitary Sewer Overflow Reported on May 27, 2020 at 3000 Lakeview Court

On May 27, 2020 at 3:50 p.m., a concerned citizen called in to report a sewage leak from a lateral at a sanitary sewer creek crossing at 3000 Lakeview Court.

Water Pollution Control employees responded and an overflow was discovered at a stream that runs into Five-Mile Creek behind 3000 Lakeview Court.

Further investigation revealed the City’s main line was blocked with grease. The crew cleared the blockage, which stopped the overflow at 6 p.m. Signs that read "Creek Contaminated" and "Notice: Stay out of the Creek" were placed at the point of overflow. Citizens should stay out of the creek until the signs are removed.  E. coli samples will be taken and a follow-up inspection will be conducted.
