Housing Choice Voucher Program and VASH

Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) is a tenant-based rental assistance program for low and moderate-income households. Qualified applicants receive a voucher and enter into a lease with a participating property owner within Leavenworth County.

To apply you may pick up an application at the Leavenworth Housing Authority, 200 Shawnee St, Leavenworth KS  Monday – Friday from 8 am to 12 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and holidays)

You may also email staff in the contact box on this page your address to request an application by mail.

You may mail your completed applications with necessary paperwork for any preferences (the application will explain what is needed) to the Leavenworth Housing Authority or you may drop the application off Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. We also have a night drop box you may drop them in during non-business hours.
