Independence Day holiday 2023 - trash schedule changes

Because of extreme heat and staffing shortages, our staff will begin trash collection at 6:30 a.m. Please have your trash out prior to 6:30 a.m. There will not be a free first Saturday in July, however the Brush Site will be open Saturday, July 1 with normal hours. The Brush Site is free every first Saturday of the month to City of Leavenworth residents.
City offices and the Riverfront Community Center will close Tuesday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. Wollman Aquatic Center will remain open.
Trash pick-up service is scheduled as follows:
- Monday, July 3 - no change, those who normally have trash on Mondays will keep their schedule.
- Tuesday, July 4 - no trash pickup
- Trash normally picked up Tuesday July 4 - will be picked up Wednesday, July 5
- Trash normally picked up Wednesday July 5 - will be picked up Thursday, July 6
- Trash normally picked up Thursday, July 6 - will be picked up Friday, July 7
- Trash normally picked up Friday, July 7 - will be picked up Saturday, July 8
