Patrol consists of four shifts of uniformed police officers who provide 24-hour police response to emergency and non-emergency situations. They conduct initial investigations of criminal activity, gather evidence, apprehend offenders, and generate different types of reports including arrest, offense, and accident reports. In addition, Patrol conducts traffic enforcement and supplements other functions of the police department whenever necessary.
