Grow Leavenworth County Development Corporation, a nonprofit E-Community Loan provider

The City of Leavenworth is a participant in the Grow Leavenworth County Development Corporation (GLC). GLC is a locally-based nonprofit, run by a board of local volunteers and supported by the City of Leavenworth, the City of Lansing, and the Leavenworth County Development Corporation. GLC is the loan provider for Network Kansas, a statewide non-profit that establishes loan criteria and provides administration for e-community loans. The establishment of the local non-profit (GLC) allows state loans to be provided to businesses located in Leavenworth County. In addition, GLC represents the community's vision to support entrepreneurship and can connect local businesses and business start ups to additional resources such as other Network Kansas loans or educational classes.

Important highlights on the E-Community Loan:

*  Loan amount is up to $45,000

*  Loans will not exceed 120 months

*  Loans require 40% matching funds from a public source (city, county, Main Street) or a financial institution bank loan

*  Interest rate is at least 4% APR (actual interest rate determined by Grow Leavenworth County Board)

*  Network Kansas performs loan administration for approved loans

*  Loans are designed to assist with gap financing and are not meant to be the primary source of business capital

*  Required documents include a completed application and financial documentation
