Pet Angel Tree program available to help shelter pets for Christmas 2022

Leavenworth Animal Control, 2019 S. Third St., has a Christmas wish list for cat food, dog food and many other needs for its animals.

The Pet Angel Tree is on display now through the end of the year.  Patrons may take a list with needed items and leave them in the donation boxes next to the tree. The shelter also encourages donors to consider adopting a shelter pet as a “forever” friend. Animals available for adoption are listed on https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/ks/leavenworth/leavenworth-animal-control-shelter-ks122/  Adoptions can take place anytime the Leavenworth Animal Control Shelter is open, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Laundry pods
• Dog collars
• Kong brand dog toys
• Puppy pads
• Dawn brand soap
• Paper towels
• Dryer sheets
• Tennis balls
• Hard rubber toys
• Cat beds
• Cleaning erasers
