Park History:

The City acquired land for Sportsfield in 1955 from the Anthony family and acquired additional land in 1970.  It has served as the site of boys baseball, girls softball, men's slow pitch, and softball leagues. The high school baseball and softball teams and American Legion baseball teams also used it as a home field.  It also served as a small tree nursery for trees being grown by the Parks and Recreation Department for future planting in other parks.

The Leavenworth Skate Park was constructed in 2009, near the entrance to the complex. The skatepark was named the "Cody James Clark Skatepark" to honor one of the young men who spearheaded the drive to get a skatepark added to our Leavenworth community.

Sportsfield Recreation Complex was completed in 2011.  In 2012, a 5th ball field was constructed outside the main area.
