Open Studio for Glass Fusing

Repeats every month on January, February, March, April, June, August, October, November, December on the second Saturday.

Andrea Class 1

Open studio time is available for students who have already attended one of our Glass Fusing for Beginners classes.  This time is being offered to allow students to create more projects using what they learned in their class. 

This class includes materials for a project similar to those done in the Beginners' class. If interested in working on a different project, discuss your idea with the instructor for advice and approval.  She may be reached at b4.tucker@yahoo.com.

Fee:  $25/person to be paid at the Riverfront Community Center prior to your class. 

Registration:  Must reserve a spot through the instructor prior to the class.  

Schedule:  1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • March 9
  • April 13
  • June 8
  • August 10
  • October 12
  • November 9
  • December 14

Class: 

  • Open only to students who have completed a Beginning Glass Fusing class at the Riverfront Community Center. 
  • Class size - Maximum of 12
  • Minimum age of student - 16 years old
  • Must wear closed toe shoes to class
  • Participants will be using a tool to score and cut the glass as desired for their projects
  • Signed waiver required at beginning of class.  See below for form.
  • Completed project to be picked up the following Saturday at the Riverfront Community Center

Tools & Materials:  All tools and materials are provided unless the project is outside the scope of the description above.  The instructor will advise if additional materials must be brought in by the student.

Waiver:
Payment to attend this activity/class means you agree to the following:  "I hereby give my authorization for participation in the activities of the above-named recreation activity or class.  I assume all risks incidental to the conduct of the activities or class and release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Leavenworth Parks & Recreation Department, the sponsors and supervisors.  Further, in case of injury, I hereby waive all claims against the City of Leavenworth, its sponsors, or any supervisors appointed to them.
 
Photographs and videos taken by the City during the activity will be used for marketing purposes by the Parks & Recreation Department and will become the property of the City of Leavenworth.
